Woods told officers the baby had been sleeping on the couch with her, then later with the child\u2019s father.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of death was ruled suffocation, and the baby had multiple previously broken ribs.<\/p>\n<p>The judge sentenced Woods to 10 years, with six and a half years suspended.<\/p>\n<p>The baby\u2019s father, Ethan Garfield, is set for a plea Monday to second-degree murder and felony child abuse.<\/p>\n<p>  <\/body><br \/>\n<\/html><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Nelson County mother who admitted to killing her 6-week-old baby has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison.
